Orchard Trace Golf Club – Hendersonville. (828) 685-1006. Fully lighted 18 holes, 2139 yards, par 3 course. Features bluegrass greens, Bermuda grass tees, and bent grass greens. Hilly terrain with small lake and two creeks.
Pine Links Golf – Flat Rock. (828) 693-0907. 9 holes, 2700 yards, par 35. Features Pencross bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways.
Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure – 36 Holes. Apple Valley Course: 18 holes, par-4. The 14th hole has a shallow green and back bunker and is often compared to No. 12 at Augusta National. Designed by Pinehurst native Dan Maples. Bald Mountain Course: 18 holes, 6300 yards. 16th green was the backdrop of a scene from “Dirty Dancing.” Designed by W.B. Lewis.
