Market and Trends In a strong sign that the housing market may be picking up, builder confidence in April made its most dramatic increase in nearly seven years. The housing market index, a survey-based measurement of sales, as well as sales expectations, rose by more than 50% in April, according to the National Association of Home Builders. Hopefully, this will be one of the first signs of a recovery in the housing market. |

Community and County InformationThe current situation with the firing range at the Campus of the Western North Carolina Justice Academy in Edneyville is still an ongoing issue for local residents. State Representative, Carolyn Justus is set to make a committee presentation in Raleigh on Tuesday, May 5th to argue against putting an outdoor range at Edneyville.
