Financial experts are now predicting that home sales will turn around by mid-year and home prices will begin recovering. Banks will likely begin seeing improvement in capitol as the government program to remove bad assets kicks in and the Federal Reserve provides more economic support.The new stimulus package will also spend $50 billion on roads, bridges, utilities and other infrastructure. Community and County InformationThe current situation with the firing range at the Campus of the Western North Carolina Justice Academy in Edneyville is still an ongoing issue for local residents. It appears that the Academy is now looking into the potential to build a firing range on property which is currently North Carolina Game lands located in the southern part of the county. Local game lands officials are to meet with officials from the Justice Academy to look into possible locations.Our state representatives, Carolyn Justus and Tom Apodoca have introduced a bill which would prevent an outdoor range from ever being built on the Edneyville campus. We are hopeful this bill will make it through. | ||||||||||
