The National Association of Realtors reported that existing home sales jumped some 23 percent in April when compared to a year ago. Sales of new homes rose even faster, up 48 percent from a year ago. Many of these sales can be attributed to the First Time Home Buyer Tax Incentive which expired April 30th, with the bulk of the sales in the $200,000 and under price range.Chief Executive Magazine’s annual Best to Worst States to do business with recently voted North Carolina as the Second best state in the nation for doing business. The survey was completed in all 50 states and evaluated proximity to markets and resources, regulation, tax policies, workforce quality, education resources, quality of life and infrastructure. Interest rates are still low and there are some special programs out there right now with low down payments and even 100% financing. We have seen rates on home mortgages here in the area as low as 4 7/8’s and some programs with 100% financing are now back available for those with excellent credit. Give us a call for details. |
