Community and County Information

Several members of the Edneyville community have been meeting with officials at the Justice Academy to look at the plans for the indoor shooting range which is now proposed to built in the middle of the existing track on the Justice Academy Campus on St. Paul Road. It is our understanding that this firing range will be totally enclosed and indoors and there should be no noise from this facility.

The Edneyville Community Center is now open and available for folks to rent for meetings, family reunions and other gatherings. The building is very nice with large conference room, bathrooms and playground. Other features are planned for the future including a soccer field, youth baseball field and potentially a gymnasium at some point in the future. A big thanks to all those that have worked so hard to make this happen.

The Edneyville Communty morns the loss of long time Edneyville High School girls basketball coach Tom Pryor. Tom had worked here with us at Apple Country Realty for several years after he retired from the school system. Coach Pryor still holds the North Carolina record for most wins in girls high school basketball with 702 wins in his career. “Coach” will be missed as he has touched everyone in the community over the years but his legacy will live on. Our prayers are with Marie, Judy, Debbie, Vicki and all of the extended Pryor family.
