Community and County Information

There has been an Edneyville and Dana Community Group which have been meeting with Henderson County Planning Staff to look into what each particular community would like to see happen within their own community in the future. I understand there has been a lot of discussion on such things as zoning and more community parks. We want thank those that have agreed to serve on these committees in an effort to give the planning staff some inward look at the concerns and goals of each individual community.

The planning board is to give an updated report on the outcome and opinions of the citizens within these community meetings in the upcoming months. There will be a total of ten of these community meetings held all around the county in different communities. I understand that Etowah has requested to have the opportunity to potentially access those landowners in their district a special use tax which could be used for such things as recreation or to fund the conversation of the railroad through Etowah to a "Rails to Trails" greenway. I am sure we will here much more on this issue in the upcoming months.

Apple Country Realty has now severed the county for more than 25 years. That seems amazing looking back on it and time really passes quickly. We want to thank all those folks we have had the opportunity to work with over the years.
