Community and County Information

If you have not visited the new Edneyville Community Center building please make it a point to get by. There has been new playground equipment installed as well. The facility is well situated on a knoll directly across from the Edneyville General Store and has a great view of Bearwallow Mtn. The facility is beautiful and would be a place anyone would be proud to have a family reunion or meeting. The facility is now available for rent through the Henderson County Recreation Dept. for meetings, reunions and family gatherings. There is a staff member available on site to assist during business hours. The proposed soccer field across the street has been seeded and is starting to come in as well.

If you have not driven through Elmer Levi’s Christmas lighting display on Mills Gap Road with the kids you need to do that. Elmer turned his lights on over the Thanksgiving holiday and as always it is beautiful. He has his driveway fixed where you can drive through the circle and view all his lights. I understand Elmer spends several weeks getting this ready each year for the community to view.

Apple Country Realty has now severed the county for more than 25 years. That seems amazing looking back on it and time really passes quickly.
